Diamond microdermabrasion is a method of mechanical exfoliation of the dead skin cells
The process takes place in a layer-by-layer controlled manner. The device we use has a head ending with a diamond tip (diamond microdermabrasion). It is the most commonly used type of microdermabrasion. The intensity of exfoliation (it’s depth) is selected individually for each patient.
The treatment is aimed to:
- exfoliation of dead cells of the stratum corneum,
- cleansing the skin of impurities,
- reduction of sebum production
- reducing the number of blackheads
Microdermabrasion also improves skin tone, stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin, smoothes out small wrinkles and improves elasticity. In addition, it eliminates damage caused by the sun and stimulates skin regeneration. It is used as an independent procedure or as an introduction to further elements of the treatment, because it increases the absorption capacity of the skin. Improved absorption of active substances from cosmetics results in better use of e.g. chemical peelings, regenerating, nourishing, moisturizing, ampoules, serums and masks.
This treatment is for you if you are struggling with:
- acne vulgaris,
- discolorations,
- scars,
- dry skin,
- wrinkles, especially around the eyes, lips and neck,
- photoaging,
- cellulite and stretch marks.
Although this treatment can be performed on almost any type of skin, you should rule out contraindications such as:
- purulent acne
- bacterial infection of the skin
- fungal infection
- occurrence of cavernous hemangiomas
- tendency to keloid formation
- vascular skin
Microdermabrasion is not recommended for people with a very delicate and sensitive complexion prone to irritation. In this case, it is more beneficial to perform a cavitation peeling, which is more delicate. One treatment visibly improves the appearance of the skin and visibly smoothes it, when we want a permanent and visible effect, a series of treatments should be used.
